James and Justin left Forster, NSW at around 1:30pm on Tuesday 13th November 2007. Despite moving the departure location several times from Sydney, Newcastle and then to Forster over 500 people attended the departure, almost every Australian TV channel, two helicopters and a flotilla of kayaks.

Kayak Naming Day
We formally launched the expedition and named our kayak 'Lot 41' at the Australian National Maritime Museum, Darling Harbour in January 2006.
Fundraising Party
We had a fantastic evening at Ryan's Bar telling friends, family an supports all about the story so far as well as showing of the mould of the kayak. A fantastic evening as had by all and all proceeds from the evening were donated to the Royal Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick.
